I bought this carrier to haul more stuff on vacation. This Carpod carrier worked great! The wired mesh side walls are strong and held 4 suitcases and 2 folding loungers inside its cargo area. It held everything securely and made no noise at all for over 1,200 miles. It gave us extra interior space inside our van and I did'nt have to struggle getting suitcases down from a roof carrier. The Carpod is well designed, strongly made and priced right.

If you need more space in your SUV or VAN or don't want to struggle with a luggage rack you've found the right product for the job. I am able to stow away all our sleeping bags, our sleeping pads, a good amount of our clothing in this container.
A couple words of caution - don't overload. If you find that the sides are bulging..STOP and remove some items. While this device is strong it isn't really built to keep things under pressure.
If you are worried about the security of the items you stow away I also recommend the lid for this - well worth the extra money.
